My interview with Al Jazeera last night about the ongoing protests in Jakarta and other cities in Indonesia. I called on the National Police to release hundreds of peaceful protesters detained in multiple police precincts, some were beaten, when joining the demonstrations. Police excessive use of force is pretty common over the last decade in Indonesia.
